Hello to my fellow science Stans. Welcome to my very first blog post. I felt obliged to utilise this first post in introducing myself, sharing a little about me and the main (but not the entire) reason I started this blog.
I am known as Neale (this is actually part of my surname as I have a double-barrelled surname). I’m a proud father to three kids (although my youngest is now 21 and my oldest is 27 (I use the word kid because they will forever be that to me). I’m married and have been with my partner for 18 years and we have been married for 11 years. I’m a dog dad, I’m allergic to eggs and I have had a lifelong passion and love for science after my very first science lesson at primary school. I warn on to study Chemistry, Physics, statistics, mathematics as an access to science course at The university of Plymouth. I then obtained my BSc (Hons) Analytical chemistry from the the same university graduating in 2009. From there I have studied MSc Medicinal Chemistry and also studied Masters in Public Health. Although my education is very specific I still love all the STEM subjects and regularly read the recent studies from all subjects from geophysics, astrochemistry, meteorology, to name a few of my favourite subjects
I’m starting this blog to help share the wonder and excitement of contemporary research as well and pay homage to the many scientists that have helped steer humanity in many ways (some groundbreaking and beneficial and others literally breaking ground and detrimenta). Also to help make science and maths easier to grasp for younger readers or for those who struggle with these notoriously difficult subjects. On this blog ALL are welcome and if you have questions you would love for me to help you with please drop me an email at neale@ionic-minds.com at any time. I cannot wait to help others see science through my lens. Thank you for your time and please consider following me
